Insects

They live in the shadow of our footsteps, in the foliage, on sun-warmed bark, or in the silence of a misty morning. Barely a rustle, a flutter of wings, or a vibration in the air... and a whole miniature universe is revealed.
Over the course of my walks, I learned to notice them. A furtive wingbeat, a shiny shell at a bend in the path, a web woven between two branches—all discreet signs of a teeming life.
So I took the time: the time to stop, to approach, to compose a picture without rushing them. What I discovered amazed me. Incredible shapes, unexpected colors, strange or delicate behaviors.
This category brings together these moments stolen from the world of the little ones. An invitation to see differently, to look closer. Perhaps, as you observe these insects and arachnids, you too will feel a little of that quiet curiosity that inhabits me when I hold my camera.
