Barely arriving in the afternoon, it only took a few moments to feel the call of the sea. The journey had left a slight heaviness in my legs, quickly swept away by the desire to walk along the shore. The beach of Saint-Benoît-des-Ondes, at low tide, stretched out like a vast mirror, uncovered by the ebbing ocean. The vast sandy expanse glistened in the sun, streaked with silvery reflections and punctuated by a few shells forgotten by the waves.

Above, an intense blue sky, without a shadow of a cloud, gave the landscape an almost unreal clarity. The air, laden with sea spray and salt, had that lively taste that awakens the senses and awakens the spirit. Here, everything seemed calm, peaceful, open to contemplation. The silence was broken only by the distant cry of seagulls, as if to remind us that the sea, even when it recedes, never truly goes away.

It was our first encounter with the Emerald Coast: a suspended moment where the horizon widens, where our gaze is lost in infinity, and where we already understand that these few days in Brittany will be filled with simple and luminous wonders.
