The silky-striped warbler (Lucilia sericata), often relegated to the rank of unappealing insects, nevertheless reveals here all the subtlety of its beauty.

Its metallic green, almost liquid, body captures the sun's reflections like an ornament. It makes no noise, doesn't seek attention—and perhaps that's why we see it so rarely. It is sometimes wrongly accused of being a pest, associated with unflattering contexts. Yet, in the balance of life, it has its place: a discreet cleaner, recycling what needs to be recycled, and sometimes even a makeshift pollinator when it visits flowers.

In this suspended moment, without spectacular scenery or colorful flowers, it is the one that attracts the eye. A reminder that beauty often hides where we least look for it.
