Upon entering the apartments, visitors discover a completely different side of the castle. The spaces that were once reserved for daily life—reception rooms, bedrooms, state rooms—have been patiently converted into exhibition spaces. The walls, once witnesses to hushed conversations and strategic decisions, now house display cases, models, and documents retracing the eventful history of Haut-Kœnigsbourg.

Here, one can follow the castle's destiny step by step, from its medieval origins to its rebirth at the beginning of the 20th century, under the impetus of Emperor Wilhelm II. It is here that one truly grasps the scale of the project undertaken between 1900 and 1908: an ambitious, almost visionary restoration that restored the castle to its former glory while permanently inscribing the memory of the past in stone.

Wandering through these rooms bathed in soft light, one is guided by a unique atmosphere—a blend of wonder and reverence.
