At the end of this walk along the ramparts, a final perspective opens up, rich in history and relief. Before us stretches Corso Anita Garibaldi, a gently sloping artery that climbs towards Piazza Municipio, the vibrant heart of Terracina's historic center.

From left to right, the view takes in several centuries of history intertwined with the landscape.

First, the majestic Mount Jupiter (il monte Giove), on which proudly stands the Temple of Jupiter Anxur (Tempio di Giove Anxur), one of the symbols of the city, watching over the Tyrrhenian Sea since ancient times.

Further down, clinging to the slopes of the mountain, we can see the remains of the Frangipane Castle (il Castello Frangipane), a medieval fortress built on ancient foundations, a testament to the time when Terracina belonged to the Papal States.

Below, the Romanesque bell tower of the Cathedral of San Cesareo (Duomo di San Cesareo) rises elegantly, revealing, behind it, just a glimpse of the structure of the ancient monumental complex of the Emilian Forum (Antico Complesso Monumentale del Foro Emiliano).

An exceptional panorama where each stone, each silhouette tells of an era, a memory, a face of Terracina.
