With its wings carefully folded along its body, Tithorea harmonia offers the observer a more discreet view of its beauty. Yet, even in this sober posture, its elegance does not go unnoticed. The back of its wings, blending orange, brown, and cream tones, forms a refined camouflage, ideal for blending into the vegetation.

This butterfly, native to tropical America, is part of the large Nymphalidae family. It is distinguished by its peaceful demeanor and graceful movements, often observed hovering gently around foliage. Plants of the Apocynaceae family, rich in alkaloids, are its preferred food during the larval stage, making the adults toxic to predators.

In this captured scene, it seems to have landed for a few moments to enjoy the filtered light, perfectly embodying the serenity of the butterfly house. A suspended moment, imbued with delicacy and silence.
