This collection brings together photos taken during my walks, when chance and humidity reveal the discreet presence of mushrooms. Adorned with strange shapes, bright colors or more modest hues, these ephemeral beings populate the undergrowth and clearings. Each photo captures the moment when nature, in its humility, offers a spontaneous work of art.
Not knowing mushrooms personally and when in doubt, I always choose observation over tasting because:

Mushroom identification can be tricky, even for experienced observers. Many edible species have poisonous, sometimes deadly, lookalikes. For this reason, all information given here remains hypothetical and should not be used as a guide to foraging.
